I was about to tell my husband my vision had returned when I caught his brother cornering him. "Kael, I know you lost your memories, but Juliet is your fiancée," Jaxon blocked his path. "She's critical.
Only your Srank healing can save her. Are you seriously going to let her die?" "If you're that worried about your little blind girl, I'll cover for you.
It's not like she can see anyway." Kael dropped his gaze. "Fine." The floating comments in my mind exploded. [The strictest captain of the ship is here!
Who else gets the sacrifice of a tsundere brother offering himself to the cannon fodder just to save his brother's romance?] [Jaxon: This family would fall apart without me.] I lifted my chin, taking him in.
My chest seized. He was an upgraded version of Kael—taller, broader, his face a little younger but devastatingly sharp, anchored by a perfectly straight nose.
Chapter 1 The moment Kael slipped out the door, I faked a stumble and reached out, wrapping my arms around Jaxon’s waist from behind. "Hubby, you feel a little different today," I murmured. "Dressing to the left now?
Got a lot on your mind?" Jaxon went rigid. Two golden tiger ears popped out from his messy hair, twitching frantically, and a long tail snapped straight out behind him.
Kael was a white tiger. Jaxon was gold. I locked my arms tighter around him, letting my forearms map out the dip of his spine. His waist was surprisingly trim.
My fingertips walked a slow, agonizing path upward, tracing the heavy lines of his chest. Beneath my palms, his muscles locked up tight enough to snap a blade.
A dark flush crept up the tips of his ears. I tilted my head, letting my breath brush his shoulder. "Chest is up an inch," I noted casually. "Waist is down half an inch.
And your hips… definitely fuller." "Your body is so tempting today, hubby." That dark red flush bled all the way down to his collarbone.
He bit down hard on his lower lip, swallowing back a heavy gasp. "Cat got your tongue, hubby?" I poked the center of his chest. "Stop…" His voice dragged. "Stop touching me." He must have chugged a voicemodifying potion.
He sounded about eighty percent like Kael, but that remaining twenty percent gave away his natural, raspy youth. "Your voice sounds a little funny today," I whispered.
I slid around to his front, pressing my thumb gently against the hard line of his Adam's apple. "But… It's incredibly sexy." Jaxon launched himself backward like he’d been burned.
He scrambled toward the door and dove headfirst into the snowbank outside.
I stood there for a beat, a wicked smirk pulling at the corners of my mouth. [Our boy just left the tutorial zone and ran straight into a wicked witch like Piper.
His brain is shortcircuiting right now.] [No way Jaxon falls for the cannon fodder.
Can a shipper actually fall in love with the enemy?] [Jaxon hates her guts for ruining Kael and Juliet's relationship.
If he actually catches feelings for her, I'll eat shit.] [To the commenter above: You can just eat it now.
No need to wait.] Jaxon rolled around in the freezing snow until the heat finally left his body.
When he marched back inside, he was dripping wet. "Hubby, run some warm water for my feet," I ordered. He encouraged his brother to lie to me.
Now, he was going to pay his brother's tab. "Yeah." Surprisingly, he actually listened. A few minutes later, he hauled a wooden basin of steaming water into the room.
I kicked off my shoes and extended my foot toward him. Jaxon's hands were wider than Kael's. My foot looked tiny resting in the center of his palm.
He clearly spent all his time gripping a weapon—the rough calluses on his skin scratched against my soles. His jaw was clenched tight.
He dropped down on one knee, guiding my foot into the warm basin to soak, before his thumbs pressed firmly into my arches, clumsily but carefully massaging the tension out of my skin.
Chapter 2 "My toenail polish is probably chipped. Repaint them for me," I ordered without a second thought. A hard crease formed between Jaxon's brows.
He clearly thought I was asking for too much. "You can't even see.
What's the point of wearing nail polish?" I pressed my foot flat against his chest. "You never used to talk to me like that!" "Mmph…" Tigers naturally ran hot, unbothered by the cold.
Banking on my "blindness," Jaxon had been walking around shirtless. My foot slipped. I stepped directly on his bare nipple.
Jaxon scrambled backward, practically fleeing the room. "I'll go find the polish…" Okay, that one was genuinely an accident. That night, Jaxon and I shared the same bed.
I rolled over to grab the water glass on his nightstand and caught a clear view of his phone screen. He was texting Kael: Bro, how do you live like this? I feel so bad for you.
I ran cold at night, so I demanded he shift into his beast form to warm me up. "Are you crazy?" Jaxon balked. "Beast forms are strict combat states.
I'm not a space heater." I frowned. If I didn't have something fluffy to hold, I wouldn't sleep a wink. "Hubby, are you tired of me?
Did someone replace you?" "You used to let me sleep holding your tail every single night.
Why is tonight any different?" "I'm obviously me!" Jaxon, clearly terrified of blowing his cover, reluctantly let his tail out. "Just the tail," he surrendered.
A thick, golden tiger tail slipped into my arms. Compared to Kael's fur, Jaxon's felt softer, smelling faintly of fresh grass and winter snow. It was a good scent.
I buried my face in the fluff and drifted off. I slept in until noon the next day. Jaxon was out in the yard chopping wood.
Oddly enough, despite swinging the axe with the brute strength of a bull, there were heavy, dark bags under his eyes. [Can you blame him for the dark circles?
Our little cannon fodder is a restless sleeper. She went from hugging his tail to hugging a very different kind of tail.
Baby tiger had to go roll in the snow a few more times last night.] [What are you guys talking about? Is Jaxon deformed?
How does he have two tails?] [To the commenter above: Stop asking and go watch Cocomelon.] I scanned the room.
The floors were swept, the chickens were fed, and the halfbroken bird's nest on the rafters had been replaced with a sturdy new wooden board.
Who knew Jaxon had such a capable domestic side underneath all that teenage angst?
But the moment he saw I was awake, he threw his cold mask back on, shoving a mug of hot milk and a slice of toast into my hands. I took a sip of the milk and grimaced. "What now?
What's wrong with it?" Jaxon braced himself. "It's too plain.
I need two sugar cubes." Jaxon sighed heavily. "You're so high maintenance." He snatched the mug, chugged the entire thing in three rapid gulps, washed the cup out, and made me a brand new one.
I stared at him. …Could he not just drop the sugar in the original cup? Once he finished the firewood, he plopped down next to me and pulled out his phone.
He was texting his friend: She's a total nightmare. But I definitely gave her the cold shoulder while I was doing all the chores. [Bro, it’s only been one day.
How is he already in his grumpy househusband era?] [Bro, is there a chance the blind cannon fodder cannot see your cold shoulder?] [Jaxon: Mind your business, I have my own rhythm!] Chapter 3 Jaxon clearly despised me treating his tail like a personal body pillow, so he ordered a space heater.
He figured if the room was boiling, I’d stop reaching for him. But thanks to the rolling blizzards, the delivery grid was shut down. The heater never showed.
For nearly two weeks, I’d been stuck clinging to a single, solitary tail. It was pissing me off.
When Kael was around, I used to bury my freezing hands and feet deep into the thick fur of his stomach. It was like a furnace. Safe. [Cannon fodder is totally missing Kael.
Too bad Kael is currently wrapped up with Juliet.
And Jaxon is guarding his purity like a fortress—no matter how hard Piper throws herself at him, he’s a brick wall.] [But Kael is destined for Juliet, and Jaxon only respects Juliet as his true sisterinlaw.
Piper needs to wake up and smell the coffee. It’d save everyone a lot of trouble.] Jaxon came back inside dripping with melting snow.
He had to freeze the heat out of his system before he even dared to crawl onto the mattress. "The temperature dropped again," Jaxon muttered. "I could shift—" I rolled over, pulling my stuffed tiger plushie tight against my chest. "Go to sleep.
I don't need your tail tonight." If I had to beg for it, I didn't want it. Even if I was starving for the heat of his body. The mattress went dead still.
He stood behind me in total silence for what felt like hours, his heavy gaze burning a hole straight through my spine.
Finally, the faint rustle of fabric signaled he had retracted his ears and tail. A thick wall of blankets divided the bed right down the middle. The silence dragged on.
He tossed and turned on his side of the mattress, the springs groaning in protest. Meanwhile, my breathing leveled out into a long, steady rhythm.
Sometime in the dead of night, a thick, heavy strip of fur coiled tight around my waist, dragging me firmly across the mattress.
Blind with sleep, I swatted blindly behind me, my palm connecting with a sharp smack. The dragging stopped instantly. When morning hit, my arms were empty. The plushie was gone.
The wall of blankets had vanished, replaced by a single, tangled mess of sheets. Jaxon's side of the bed was cold. I glanced out the frosted window.
He was standing in the middle of a raging snowstorm, scrubbing my plush tiger in a bucket of icy water.
He wrung it out, pegged it to the clothesline, and let the biting wind instantly snapfreeze it into a solid block of ice.
He dusted his hands off, stepping back to admire his handiwork.
Then he turned around and locked eyes with me through the glass. "Haha, great weather today," he yelled over the wind. "Just… giving your toy some sun!" I stared blankly at the blizzard outside.
He hadn't just murdered the plushie. He'd done the laundry, too.
His brute strength had ripped two massive holes straight through the lace of my underwear, forcing him to trek all the way down to the market for replacements.
Not ten minutes after he left, a heavy knock hammered against the front door. I pulled it open. Ezra stood on the porch, a pair of long rabbit ears drooping over his messy hair.
His face burned a feverish red. His knees buckled. His heat cycle had hit. Hard. "Piper," he panted, the word tearing out of his throat. "Save me.
Please…" Despite the freezing temperatures, he was only wearing a thin, white buttondown.
The top three buttons were ripped open, exposing skin paler than the snow swirling around him. Melting flakes clung to his dark, heavy lashes.
His nose was bitten red from the cold, but his eyes—a striking, fractured sapphire—were glazed over with fever.
It turns out my attending physician and nextdoor neighbor was dropdead gorgeous. He staggered forward, his entire body weight crashing into my chest.
Scalding, ragged breaths seared against the sensitive skin of my neck. "The Federation…" He swallowed hard, his throat clicking. "They passed the new law.
Humans… can bond with two beastmen at once…" "When he gets back, he can be the primary mate. I'll be your second. I swear it.
I won't fight him for territory." "I won't make things difficult for you.
Just… please." His fingers dug into my shirt. "Take me." "If you don't want to…" A heavy shiver ripped through his spine. "Pretend I was never here." "I'll go back.
I'll soak in the ice baths…" Ezra forced himself to step back, his boots slipping on the icy floorboards.
I grabbed his collar, yanking his body flush against mine, and slammed the door shut with my heel. I crushed my lips against his. "Shut up." Chapter 4 Kael had Juliet.
Jaxon guarded himself against me like a fortress. I was a traditional woman—I needed a warm body in my bed. Rabbit fur was surprisingly soft.
I came to this conclusion as my fingers closed around Ezra’s long ear, kneading the plush base. A heavy shudder ripped through Ezra's frame.
He buried his face deep into the crook of my neck. His breathing hitched, wet and ragged, his fingers digging desperately into the sheets.
Ever since I crossed over into this world, my vision had been shot—nothing but blurred, muddy shapes.
Ezra was the one who had been treating my eyes for free this entire time. [What's going on? Why did the screen suddenly censor everything with pixels?] [Are we strangers now, Ezra?
Let us see!] [This cannon fodder is actually pretty pitiful. Kael is an Srank healer, but his powers only work on Juliet. Piper has to rely on pure medication.
Ezra really has done a lot for her.] Once the fever broke, Ezra slumped against the headboard, his shoulder pressing heavily into mine. "When Kael gets back, I'll explain everything," he rasped, his chest rising and falling. "I'll tell him I seduced you.
This is entirely on me." The heavy wooden door clicked open. Jaxon stepped into the room. "Wifey, I bought a new shirt. Come feel the fabric…" Ezra and I snapped our heads up.
Jaxon stood in the doorway, tall and broadshouldered. He was technically wearing a shirt—a sheer, netted harness woven entirely from silver bead chains.
He wore it, but it covered nothing. A square cardboard box slipped from Jaxon's grip, hitting the floorboards with a dull thud. Jaxon blinked.
The blood drained from his face, then rushed back, flushing his skin and turning his eyes a feral, bloodshot gold. The air pressure in the room snapped.
A deafening roar shattered the frosted windows as he shifted. "In my bed?!" He lunged forward, the floorboards cracking under his weight. "Touching my wife?!" "Don't be afraid, Piper!
I'm going to rip this rabbit's throat out for taking you hostage!" I moved to block him, not wanting Ezra to get slaughtered. But the temperature in the room plummeted.
Ezra unleashed his spirit form. A colossal white rabbit materialized in the cramped space. It dwarfed Jaxon's golden tiger, its jaw lined with thick, razorsharp fangs.
Its fractured sapphire eyes bled into a piercing, unnatural crimson. "You two…" I started. Ezra launched himself off the bed.
He locked his massive claws around the tiger's throat and tackled him straight through the doorway, crashing out into the heavy snow. They were dead even in pure, destructive power.
The two male beasts tore up the blinding white yard, trading lethal, bonecrushing blows. Ezra aggressively aimed his claws at the tiger's face.
Jaxon ruthlessly targeted the rabbit's groin. The floating text went wild over the sudden brawl. [Tsk tsk. Who said men don't scheme?
One wants to cure her eyes and use his pretty face to steal the primary spot, so he's trying to ruin his rival's face.
The other thinks Piper only wants him for his stamina, so he's aiming right for the family jewels.] [Ezra is such a manipulative green tea, but he's too pretty to hate.] [Jaxon is totally dense, but he's built like a tank.] [Piper: Such a hard choice.] For once, I entirely agreed with the comments.
I leaned casually against the splintered doorframe. "Stop fighting," I called out. But they were fifty yards away, tearing up the snowbank. The wind swallowed my voice whole.
Ezra swiped a claw across his jaw, licking the blood from his fur. "I've met her male mate," he spat, his chest heaving. "It wasn't you!
Who the hell are you to call me a homewrecker?" Jaxon locked his feral gaze on the rabbit, his muscles coiled tight for another strike. "I'm the homewrecker?
You're a cheap whore crawling into another man's bed while he's out. You're the ultimate side piece!" Ezra let out a dark, mocking laugh. "I pulled her records.
Piper only entered a soul bond with Kael. They never signed the Federation marriage papers." "She has one mate. She doesn't even have a legal husband. Let me guess.
You're a gold tiger." "He was a white tiger. You took advantage of her blindness and replaced him?" He circled Jaxon, his crimson eyes gleaming.
Chapter 5 Jaxon stepped forward, his jaw locked tight. "So what? I'm the one rubbing her feet! I'm the one warming her bed!" "My name is going on those Federation marriage papers!
She'll never know," Jaxon spat, his muscles coiling. "Not once I rip your throat out." Ezra swiped a line of blood from his split lip, his fractured sapphire eyes gleaming. "You're playing a losing hand.
Because… there's a good chance she can already see." The color drained straight out of Jaxon's face. "Bullshit." "If she can see, the game is over," Ezra taunted smoothly. "You aren't Kael.
She has zero history with you. You're weaker than me." "You're definitely uglier than me.
Tell me, why the hell would she choose you?" "You're dead!" Jaxon launched himself into the freezing air, aiming a lethal strike of golden mental energy straight at the arrogant herbivore.
Ezra was an Srank mutant. He could have dodged it blindfolded.
But at the last second, Ezra deliberately shifted his stance, letting the blistering blast scorch directly across his forearm.
I stood frozen in the doorway as Ezra was thrown backward, collapsing heavily into my arms.
Ezra buried his face against my shoulder, his breathing ragged. "Piper, don't blame him," he rasped, his voice trembling. "I get it.
He can't handle our relationship." "It's too much for him. It's okay if he hurts me, but I can't let him hurt you. Come stay at my place.
Let him cool off for a few days." Jaxon froze midstride in the snow, staring at the bleeding rabbit in my arms. His fists shook uncontrollably. "You manipulative little bitch!
That wasn't your tune two seconds ago!" I wrapped my arms tighter around Ezra's trembling frame, shooting a dead, flat look at the towering, muscular tiger. "I can see exactly who needs my protection." All the fight drained out of Jaxon instantly.
He stood there like a hollow shell, watching helplessly as Ezra began packing my bags. Jaxon closed the distance, his thick fingers grabbing my wrist.
His golden ears drooped flat against his messy hair. "Wifey," his voice cracked. "Your toenail polish is chipping." "I bought a new color. Let me paint them for you, okay?
I'll shift tonight. You can hold my tail." "Just… please don't go." Ezra hoisted my duffel bag over his uninjured shoulder. "That's basic boyfriend territory.
Why are you acting like you're granting her some massive favor?" "Shut the hell up!" Jaxon snapped, his grip tightening on my wrist. "I'm not!" I let out a slow, heavy breath.
I reached over and peeled his rough fingers off my arm, one by one. "Jaxon. I don't want to force you anymore." Jaxon’s breath hitched. "You're not forcing me.
I want to do it all for you—" He froze. His golden eyes blew wide open. "Wait. You just called me… Jaxon.
You know I'm not Kael?" I lifted my chin, looking dead into his bloodshot eyes. "Yes." "You stayed here and played pretend because you thought I was a burden.
You thought I wasn't good enough for your brother. Right?" The words slammed into him.
He stood paralyzed, his jaw working, but no sound came out. "So, Jaxon, you don't have to suffer through this anymore.
You aren't my mate." I zipped up my coat, my voice flat and mechanical. "Pack your things and go find your brother." "Oh, and do me a favor.
Tell Kael to come back and sever the bond." Jaxon's chest heaved.
Heavy, ugly tears spilled over his lower lashes, tracking through the dirt and blood on his face. "No…" he choked out, his voice fracturing into sharp, broken pieces. "I didn't… I'm not suffering…" A flash of triumph sparked in Ezra's eyes, buried just as quickly behind a soft, innocent blink. "Don't forget to deliver that message to your brother," he reminded smoothly.
Ezra slipped his free hand into mine, his thumb brushing my knuckles. "Let's go, wifey. Don't waste your tears on people who don't matter.
I'll always love you." "I'll always be right here." He led me slowly toward his front porch. It was right next door. I didn't look back.
But through the howling blizzard, I could hear the heavy thud of Jaxon dropping to his knees in the snow, his devastating, ragged sobs tearing through the freezing air.
Chapter 6 Once Jaxon finally cried himself out in the freezing yard, he packed his bags overnight and headed straight for the Capitol to find his brother, Kael.
At that exact moment, Kael had just wrapped up Juliet's final healing session. "Your condition is stabilized," Kael stated flatly. "You just need to rely on the medication from here on out.
As for my payment, I expect that pink diamond ring you promised, and I want it ASAP." Juliet raised an eyebrow. "Going back to propose?" The usual sheet of ice on Kael's face cracked.
His tight jaw relaxed, and a rare, genuine warmth melted into his dark eyes. "My wife loves pink." Juliet propped her chin on her hand, a playful glint in her eyes. "Already calling her your wife?
What if your memories come back and you realize you're madly in love with me?" Kael shot a halfsmile at the two male beastmen standing directly behind Juliet.
One was a fox with devastatingly delicate, androgynous features, casually flipping a bonecarved dagger between his fingers.
The other was a heavily muscled snake beastman, his thick tail coiled tight, his gaze dark and venomous. "Juliet, I'm a taken man.
I don't play those kinds of games," Kael replied calmly. "Besides, your two mates look like they're about to rip my throat out." The floating comments in my mind exploded. [What the hell?
Did our main couple just sink?!] [I thought the male lead came here to rekindle their romance. He’s just extorting her for jewelry.] [Oh right!
In this world, if a beastman wants to sign the official Federation marriage papers, they have to present a massive fortune to their human mate.] [Not gonna lie… Juliet's snake guy looks way more capable than Kael, hehe.] [You think the fox is innocent?
He was so intimidated by the snake that he upgraded his own hardware, hehehe.] [To the commenter above: WHAT DID YOU SEE?!
Ahhh, if you don't drop the link, I curse you to endless dead links for the rest of your life!] The moment Kael stepped out of Juliet’s estate, he pulled a vial of memorysuppressant from his coat pocket and downed it in one shot.
He crushed the empty glass in his fist. History was history. He was going to make sure his wife got one hundred percent of him.
Back home, my house had been empty ever since Jaxon left. I'd been holed up in Ezra's rabbit den for days. Ezra was the perfect mate.
Not only was his fur ridiculously soft and warm, but the man had a devastatingly diverse skill set when it came to pleasing me.
His only flaw was his obsession with making it official.
Every single time my brain fogged up from pleasure, he’d try to drag a promise out of me to sign the marriage papers the moment we woke up.
The Federation's new law stated a human could soulbond with two beastmen, but you could only sign the legal marriage papers with one.
The one on paper became the primary husband. "Wifey, just promise me, okay? I bought all those outfits you liked.
I'll wear them for you as soon as they get delivered…" Ezra leaned in, pressing hot, openmouthed kisses against my jaw. He knew exactly how much I obsessed over his ears.
He grabbed my wrist, guiding my hand straight up to the thick, plush fur on his head. I leaned back against his chest, satisfied, the heavy heat radiating off his skin.
I couldn't handle his whining anymore. "Fine," I breathed out. "We'll go sign the papers at dawn." "Yes!" Ezra’s breath hitched.
Pure joy fractured across his sapphire eyes. "But we still have two hours until dawn." "Let me serve you one more time, wifey." I scrambled out of his arms and shot up from the mattress.
I planted my bare foot flat against his chest, pinning him down. "Knock it off," I threatened, glaring down at him. "If I have dark circles under my eyes for our marriage license photo, I will actually kill you." Ezra’s large hand wrapped firmly around my ankle.
His thumb stroked the sensitive skin of my arch. "I'd gladly die by my wife's hands," he whispered, his gaze darkening. "Or under her feet." I stared at him, speechless.
Chapter 7 I had only managed a single hour of sleep before Ezra was gently shaking me awake, his voice a soft, low rumble as he coaxed me out of my grumpy haze.
The morning sunlight spilled across the bathroom tiles, wrapping us in a warm, golden haze as he carefully washed my face, his deft fingers sweeping the makeup brushes across my skin before moving on to expertly curl my hair.
By the time the sleep finally cleared from my eyes, I stared at my flawlessly styled reflection in the mirror, letting out a soft breath of disbelief. "Is there anything you can't do?" "I would never hand off a chance to take care of my wife to anyone else," Ezra murmured smoothly, his chest brushing against my back.
I looked up, meeting his fractured sapphire gaze in the mirror, and in that quiet, sunlit moment, I felt the unmistakable, heavy shift of my heart falling for him.
But the moment Ezra and I stepped up to the counter at the City Hall marriage bureau, the system flagged our application red. "Why?" I frowned.
The clerk, a tiredlooking wombat beastman who had clearly seen this exact scenario a hundred times before, tapped her screen and spun the glowing Federation regulations around to face us. "To put it simply, ma'am, he isn't your first soulbonded mate.
Marriage licenses are strictly chronological." The light drained out of Ezra's eyes.
He had spent hours getting ready this morning, dressing in an impeccably tailored suit with a small, silver carrot pin resting perfectly on his lapel, ensuring every single strand of fur was meticulously brushed.
I slipped my fingers through his, giving his hand a firm squeeze. "There is a loophole, though," the clerk added smoothly, her claws clicking against the keyboard. "Dissolving a legal marriage requires both parties present, but severing a soul bond only requires one." It was simple math.
If I unilaterally shattered the bond with Kael, Ezra would instantly bump up to the primary slot.
The floating comments had made it crystal clear—Kael was the male lead, destined only for Juliet.
He had lied to my face, abandoned me to save his true love, and tossed me to Jaxon like a discarded problem. This fracture was inevitable.
It was only a matter of time. "Do it," I stated flatly. "Sever the bond with Kael." With the dead weight officially cut, the clerk quickly ushered Ezra and me over to the photo booth.
Sealing a marriage in this world wasn't just a signature; it required a brutal audit of the male beastman's financial assets and a complete reissue of our Federation ID cards to permanently etch the primary mate's name into the data chips.
When the heavy, goldstamped marriage certificate finally slid across the counter, the sheer, blinding joy in Ezra's eyes was impossible to contain.
He dropped his pen, hauled me against his chest, and crushed his mouth to mine in a bruising, breathless kiss. "Mmph…" "Don't worry, wifey," he growled low against my lips. "I can easily do the work of two men.
In every possible way." Miles away in the Capitol, Kael walked into the highend boutique Juliet had recommended to pick up the custom pink diamond.
The attendant, wearing pristine white gloves, carefully lifted the diamond ring from its velvet box. "Sir, our custom AL wedding bands require a Federation ID check.
The ring is permanently bound to your registered mate's data." It was just a marketing gimmick, but Kael pulled his ID card from his wallet anyway.
He liked the heavy, undeniable weight of being officially tied to his wife. The attendant scanned the chip.
A second later, an apologetic frown pulled at her mouth. "Sir, the system shows you don't have a registered soul bond." "That's impossible." Kael shot up from the velvet chair, his palms slamming flat against the glass counter. "Your system is glitching
