"Do it. Right now.

Let your Mistress see." After my vicious advisor spent ten minutes tearing me apart in front of everyone, I hid under the conference table and fired off a thigh pic to my online boyfriend.

At the far end of the long table, my advisor suddenly froze. He stared at his lit phone screen. His Adam's apple bobbed. The tips of his ears flushed a dark, violent red.

I leaned out, catching a quick glimpse of his screen. Right there, glaring back at me, was the exact thigh pic I just sent!

Chapter 1 The harsh buzzing of Gideon's phone vibrating was deafening in the suffocating silence of the seminar room.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think my coldblooded, ruthless advisor was the same online boyfriend who cried and called me his Mistress! Gideon's long finger tapped the screen.

My heart slammed into my throat. Was he… accepting the video call? Yes! Do it! Answer it! Ten minutes ago, he publicly shredded the fifth draft of my thesis, calling it trash.

Once he realizes I'm his Mistress, he definitely won't hold my thesis hostage anymore! Thank God. My master's degree is finally within reach.

I sat up straight, squaring my shoulders. The call disconnected. "6'1 Rich Idiot 8Pack" (the nickname I gave him) fired off a rapid string of messages: [Baby, I'm in a seminar.

I can't do it for you right now.] [I'll text you later~] [Your luxury wishlist totaling $50,000 has been cleared.] [Puppy loves you.jpg] I froze.

The smirk hadn't even fully formed on my lips. Gideon's sharp reprimand snapped like a whip right next to my ear. "Jade!

What the hell are you grinning at?" I jumped, my head snapping up. I crashed straight into Gideon's razorsharp, icy glare.

He stared me down, merciless, stripping away every ounce of my dignity in front of the entire room. "You had zero major research projects and barely any academic background in undergrad.

I never wanted you in my lab. Your counselor pushed hard for you, swearing you had potential," Gideon scolded. "And the result?

Your experiments are a disaster, your writing is pure garbage, you sit mute through every meeting, and now you're playing on your phone! Do you want to graduate at all?" I'm dead.

I am so dead. My chest tightened, a cold sweat breaking out across my skin. The rest of the grad students held their breath, their eyes locked on me in total silence.

Some gave me pitying looks. Others were just relieved they weren't in the crosshairs. My cheeks burned with a scorching heat. Hot moisture prickled at the corners of my eyes.

But online, Gideon was always so entirely obsessed with me.

He would whine for my attention, typing things like "Kisses for baby" and "I love my Mistress the most"… I opened my mouth to explain.

My vocal cords betrayed me, trembling under the crushing weight of the room. "I… I was just… texting my boyfriend. My boyfriend is…" "Zero people in this room care.

Zero people want to hear about your pathetic drama with your boyfriend," Gideon cut me off, his voice dropping to a freezing register. "If you can't figure out basic professional boundaries, find a new advisor.

I'm done wasting my time on you." Gideon wasn't just the youngest tenured professor on campus.

His family practically owned the university through their massive corporate endowments. If he kicked me out, no other professor would dare take me in.

They were all terrified of his influence. My academic career would be dead and buried. The blood drained from my face, turning my veins to ice.

It took everything I had to force the words past the tight knot in my throat. "I understand.

It won't happen again." The second I stepped out of the building, Cassidy rushed up, her face tight with concern. "Jade, what were you thinking trying to video call your boyfriend in the middle of a lab meeting?" Because I just realized Gideon is my online boyfriend.

Chapter 2 I was losing my mind with excitement a second ago, but now, the reality of it felt incredibly bizarre.

I glanced around the empty hallway, making sure no one was lingering. "Do you think Professor Gideon would ever date someone online?" I dropped my voice to a harsh whisper.

Cassidy blinked, letting out a short laugh. "Professor Gideon is the most notoriously coldblooded, celibate Alpha on campus.

That arrogant billionaire doesn't even spare a second glance at women." "Online dating?

Not a chance." Her smile vanished, replaced by a deadserious stare. "Wait." "Tell me you aren't falling for those stupid TikTok trends where grad students confess to their strict advisors to get their thesis approved.

Those are just for clout. Don't be an idiot." "Gideon already hates your guts.

If you try to prank him or piss him off, you are never graduating." My stomach plummeted, hitting the floor. I thought I had hit the jackpot matching with him online.

But from Gideon's perspective? This would look exactly like premeditated revenge. I literally made this man call me Mistress. I made him wear a chest harness.

I demanded he show off his abs. And just ten minutes ago, I told him to do it for me! Oh my god. The sheer humiliation of it made the blood rush to my ears.

He could never, ever find out his online Mistress was me! I forced my shoulders to relax, keeping my face perfectly blank. "Just curious.

I'd never do something that suicidal." Cassidy exhaled, visibly relieved. Barely ten minutes after I unlocked the door to my apartment, my phone buzzed.

Gideon. [Baby, I'm alone now. Want me to do it for you?] A strangled sound escaped my throat.

The image of Gideon—the ruthless, untouchable professor who always had his tailored dress shirts buttoned up to his goddamn throat—begging to strip for me in private.

The whiplash was insane. Plus, he was my advisor!

I didn't dare push my luck anymore. [Me: Don't bother.] He immediately spiraled. [Why?] [Am I not attractive enough for you anymore?] [Are you mad because I didn't say yes immediately during my meeting?] [That's why you haven't accepted the $50,000.] [Baby, I'm sorry.

I'm so fucking sorry. Please, I'm begging you, just give me a chance to show you.] A FaceTime request instantly popped onto my screen.

My pulse hammered violently against my ribs in time with the ringtone.

Maybe it was because he had humiliated me so viciously in the lab, but seeing this incredibly powerful man groveling like a dog sent an uncontrollable surge of dark, twisted satisfaction straight down my spine.

I wanted to make him squirm. I wanted to degrade him, then toss him aside. But then I remembered the $50,000 sitting in my account. …Whatever. I'd keep him around as my sugar daddy.

But the degradation? That was nonnegotiable. I swiped accept. We kept our cameras angled perfectly to hide our faces, a mutual, unspoken rule. "Baby.

Are you mad at me?" His deep, raspy voice scraped right through my phone speakers and straight into my chest. Before, I never made the connection.

But hearing it now—it was unmistakably Gideon's commanding timbre. Terrified he would recognize my voice, I quickly typed: [Me: I'm not mad. Play for me.

Let me watch.] A heavy breath of relief crackled through the speaker. His tone shifted, dripping with dark eagerness. "Okay. I'm starting." My eyes were glued to the screen.

Gideon unbuckled his belt. His long, veincorded fingers gripped the expensive Hermès buckle, tearing it open.

The sharp, metallic clink was aggressively loud in the dead silence of the bedroom.

As the heavy fabric slid down, the explosive, deeply carved lines of his abs and his overwhelmingly dominant, heavy silhouette instantly consumed the entire screen. "Ah!" A panicked gasp tore from my lips, and I chucked my phone across the mattress as if it burned me.

Sure, I talked a big game online, and I read enough Smut to relax. But I was twentyfour, and this was the very first time I had ever seen a man's… that. And it belonged to Gideon.

The sheer visual impact was entirely too much for my brain to process. Gideon's voice sliced through the speaker, thick with sudden panic. "Baby, what's wrong?

Did I… did I scare you?" I slapped my palms against my blazing hot cheeks, lunged for the phone, and slammed the red endcall button.

Chapter 3 I typed back, dripping with deliberate mockery: [Me: Are you stunted or something?] [Gideon: ?] [Me: The guys in the books I read are packing at least twelve inches.] [Gideon: Those books are pure bullshit.

My eight and a half inches and extreme stamina are more than enough to make you scream and beg.] [Gideon: Honestly, I'm worried you wouldn't even be able to take it. (awkward.jpg)] This absolute slut of a puppy… A scorching heat flared across my cheeks. [Me: You're right, I couldn't take it.] [Me: You're way too old.] [Me: I prefer pink.] [Me: Maybe I should find a younger boyfriend.] Gideon was thirty.

That would wreck his ego. Right on cue. A FaceTime request exploded onto my screen. I hit decline.

A second later, a voice note came through, his voice thick with frantic desperation. "Baby, you can't look at other men." "Whatever color or shape you want, I'll pay for the surgery to get it done.

Please. You can't throw me away. Mistress." His voice actually cracked at the end. God. The power trip was intoxicating.

Remembering I still had to rewrite my garbage thesis, I decided to leave him hanging just to torture him a little. [Me: Depends on your behavior.] [Me: I'm busy.] Gideon's text fired back, practically vibrating with anxiety: [Gideon: Busy with what?

Can I help?] Oh, he could help. But I'd rather die than tell him. [Me: Someone just called my writing utter shit. I have to rewrite it.] [Gideon: Then they have zero taste.

Sounds like a piece of human garbage to me.] Huh? He literally just roasted himself. A loud snort escaped me. [Gideon: Baby, drop your location. I'll handle him.

I'll make him get on his knees and apologize to you.] Right. He was just trying to trick me into giving up my address so we could meet. Gideon and I met on a private audio platform.

I was a faceless ASMR voice creator. He was one of my toppaying subscribers.

My parents wanted me to enter the workforce immediately and lock down a wealthy husband while I was still young.

Because of that, I was getting my Master's entirely behind their backs.

Between paying for my own tuition, my living expenses, and an offcampus apartment to keep my cover from blowing, I was drowning in bills. I was desperate for cash.

Once I realized Gideon had impossibly deep pockets and a pathetic dependency on my voice, I started stringing him along.

I'd purposely ignore his direct messages or go dark on the platform for days. If he asked, I'd casually mention I took on private, exclusive commissions.

That was his cue to wire me massive sums of money, literally buying out my time. I played hard to get, typing with a smirk: [Me: Plenty of guys bid higher than you.

Why should I give you my time?] [Gideon: Then what do you want?] [Me: I want an obedient puppy all to myself.

The kind that begs and calls me Mistress.] [Gideon: Oh.] I thought I pushed too hard and lost my sugar daddy.

But then another text popped up. [Gideon: Do you want me to sell my body to you?] [Gideon: Do you want to see my eightpack?] An eightpack?

I figured he'd just send some stolen photos from a fitness model's Instagram, which I honestly wouldn't mind. [Me: Yes.] He immediately sent a voice note.

His tone was low, rasping, and dangerously seductive. "I only show my body to my girlfriend.

Be my girlfriend, and I'll do whatever you tell me to do." Just like that, we were officially "dating." To me, it was just a clockin, clockout hustle to pay rent.

For my own safety, we established strict boundaries: no face reveals, no real names. But who the hell could have predicted my online sugar daddy was Professor Gideon?

I faked annoyance: [Me: I'm scared you'll show me something ugly.] [Me: Do not come over.] [Me: Leave me alone today, or I'm blocking you.] Just like a highly trained dog, Gideon instantly shut up.

Chapter 4 I accepted the transfer and tossed my phone onto the mattress.

The second the clock struck midnight, Gideon's voice notes started flooding in, like he'd been staring at a timer. His voice was thick with tears. "Baby, it's a new day.

Are you asleep?" "Whatever you don't like about my body, I can fix it. I want you to be my wife. Please don't throw me away." "A Mistress can't just abandon her puppy.

Mistress, please. Just text me back." I stared at my laptop screen, glaring at the bloody red sea of edits he'd massacred my thesis with.

A second ago, I was ready to hurl my scalding hot coffee right into his cold, customsuited face.

But listening through my earbuds as this billionaire begged on his knees to be my exclusive slave… the massive power shift sent violent shivers down my spine.

A dark, uncontrollable wave of pure euphoria flooded my veins. [Me: Am I really that important to you?] Gideon's response was raw, raspy, but terrifyingly absolute. "More than anything.

You're the only light I have. These past two years with you have been the best days of my life." "You are more important to me than my own life. Let's meet. Let's get married.

Let me take care of you for the rest of your life." The tips of my ears burned. The tight knot in my chest loosened.

Sure, Professor Gideon was a ruthless, toxic bastard in real life—a tragic waste of a perfectly sculpted face just because he had to open his venomous mouth.

But when I factored in his absurd wealth, his power, those abs… and this pathetic, clingy desperation? I was winning on every conceivable level.

I typed back, a smirk pulling at my lips: [Me: Understood. We'll talk about meeting up in June.] I needed that Master's degree securely in my hands before I ever faced him.

Gideon was thrilled. The next morning, I dragged myself to Gideon's office on time.

He stared at his monitor, a harsh crease forming between his brows. "Are you certain you incorporated my revisions?" My pulse spiked. I leaned closer to the screen. "Yes.

Is it… wrong again?" Gideon's face was made of stone. The atmospheric pressure in the room plummeted, suffocating and heavy.

My fingernails dug deeply into the hem of my shirt. "Should I… revise it and send it again?" I swallowed hard. "But I don't think… I don't think I know how to fix it anymore." Gideon shot me a sideways glance. "Believe in yourself.

When God closes a door, he always opens a window." My jaw dropped slightly. I blinked at him, entirely thrown off. Gideon? Dropping his toxic venom to comfort me?

Was he in a freakishly good mood just because he thought we were finally meeting?

The tiny spark of hope hadn't even fully registered in my brain before he violently extinguished it. "But in your case, God didn't just weld the window shut.

He emptied your brain out while he was at it." [Me: …] Gideon dragged his mouse over a paragraph, highlighting it. "And what the hell is this? Did AI write this?" "No.

I wrote it." "You wrote it?" Gideon let out a sharp, mocking scoff.

His voice dropped to a freezing, absolute zero. "Hand me garbage like this one more time, and I am pulling you from the defense panel.

You can apply for a delayed graduation right now." A deafening ring exploded in my ears. Everything went numb.

I was already drowning under the crushing pressure of hiding this entire Master's degree from my parents.

If I didn't get that diploma, the last three years of my life meant nothing. How the hell was I supposed to face my parents?

Just last night, this exact same man swore he would destroy anyone who bullied me. Now? He was the one executing me.

It felt like Gideon just shoved a rusty blade straight up under my ribs. The agonizing pain collided with a hysterical, manic urge to laugh. Something inside me finally snapped.

My palms slammed onto his desk with a violent crash. "Gideon!" I glared straight into his cold eyes. "Are you sure you want to stop your future wife from graduating?" Chapter 5
