I was bound to a Troll System. It let me force anyone to repeat the exact same action a hundred times.
The fake heiress deliberately threw herself out of a secondstory window just to frame me. My family looked ready to tear me apart.
But a second later, the fake heiress crawled back up to the second floor like a zombie. She threw herself out the window again. A hundred times later.
My biased parents and brother lost their minds. Chapter 1 "Natalie, you are dead. Mom and Dad will never forgive you for this." Chloe flashed me a sick, giggly smile.
Then she leaned back and let herself fall right out the secondstory window. Her body crashed into the flowerbeds by the wall below.
The housekeeper dropped her watering can and let out a bloodcurdling scream. Mr. and Mrs. Prescott rushed out into the courtyard, with Carter close behind.
They froze the second their eyes landed on Chloe. Complete panic set in. Mrs. Prescott burst into hysterical sobs. Mr. Prescott fumbled for his phone to call 911.
Carter dropped to his knees beside her. "Chloe," he screamed. "What happened? Who did this to you?" Chloe lifted a trembling arm. The rose thorns had scratched her skin.
Against her pure white dress, she looked like a fragile, broken doll.
She pointed a shaking finger straight up at me on the secondfloor balcony. "Carter," she whimpered. "I do not know what I did wrong.
My sister… it hurts so much." Three pairs of eyes snapped up to glare at me. Any trace of their usual polite warmth vanished.
There was absolutely zero familial love in their stares. Just pure, unadulterated hatred. I was the unwanted intruder.
I was the monster who dared to hurt their precious, spoiled adopted daughter. In my past life, that cold, vicious glare would have shattered my heart. But right now?
My blood rushed with pure adrenaline. Me: [System. This exact jumping out the window action.
Set to repeat one hundred times.] In my previous life, Chloe's little scheme worked perfectly. She only suffered a few superficial scrapes, but the Prescotts lost their minds.
They dragged me down the stairs. They kicked me. They beat me until my ribs snapped. I bled to death on the cold floor while they rushed Chloe to the hospital.
After my death, my soul floated in the air. Endless streams of text floated past me. [The biological heiress is so pitiful!
The Prescott family deserves to rot in hell!] [If the author wants to write a wicked female lead, go write a different genre! The biological heiress did nothing wrong.
Using an innocent girl's death to prop up the fake heiress is disgusting.
This is not satisfying at all!] [This family is just as hypocritical as the ones in all those other switchedatbirth tropes!
If they do not change the plot and kill them off, I am reporting this book!] [Bring the biological heiress back!
Let her get revenge!] Revenge revenge revenge revenge revenge revenge revenge revenge revenge revenge… The glitchy text flooded my vision.
That was the exact moment the truth hit me. I was just a piece of cannon fodder. A tragic side character in a novel where Chloe was the wicked female lead.
Chapter 2 [Readers are spamming the comments about how twisted this is! Fine, I will give you a Troll System. I abandoned the fic. Handle the rest yourself.
Peace out!] The person claiming to be the author left that message and vanished completely. And I actually brought this Troll System back with me.
I was reborn to the exact second before Chloe jumped. I stared at her smug, overly innocent face. The phantom pain of a hundred kicks and punches flared in my bones.
My blood burned with raw hatred. In my last life, I was completely at the mercy of the plot.
In this life, I was going to make this family feel the absolute terror of being controlled by a cheat code. "Natalie! Are you out of your mind? How dare you push Chloe?
Get down here right now!" Just like in my previous life, Carter charged up the stairs. He did not care that I was half his size. He pulled his fist back to punch me. "Ah! Chloe!
Where are you going?!" This time, Mrs. Prescott's highpitched scream stopped his fist midair. He snapped his head toward the ground floor.
Chloe shot straight up from the crushed flowerbeds. Her body locked rigid. She dropped her head forward. Then she charged toward the stairs with a completely unhinged strut.
She slammed right into Carter on the steps, knocking him out of the way. Then she planted herself on the window frame right in front of me. Her eyes were dead and hollow.
But her voice was perfectly clear as she repeated her opening line. "Natalie, you are dead. Mom and Dad will never forgive you for this." She tipped backward. Thud.
She plummeted down again. "Ahhhhh!" Mrs. Prescott and the housekeeper shrieked from the courtyard. Mr. Prescott stood frozen.
His phone slipped from his hand and clattered against the pavement. "Chloe!" Carter screamed at the top of his lungs. He scrambled down the stairs.
Before he even reached the front door, Chloe crawled back up. Bang. She rammed into him again. She climbed back onto the window ledge. "Natalie, you are dead.
Mom and Dad will never forgive you for this." She jumped. "Stop her! Grab her!" Mr. and Mrs. Prescott finally snapped out of it and yelled. "Chloe!" Carter lunged forward. Bang.
Chloe bulldozed right through him. She jumped. "Chloe!" Bang. "Chloe!" Bang. "Not the face… Ah!" Crash. By the tenth loop, Chloe was moving at least five times faster than before.
She completely launched Carter into the air. He hit the firstfloor tiles hard. His glasses shattered into pieces. That was the beauty of the Troll System. The loop only got faster.
And with speed came terrifying strength. Mr. and Mrs. Prescott threw themselves at Chloe. They grabbed her from both sides, trying to pin her down.
Her momentum dragged them across the floor for forty feet. Hard wooden edges tore through their clothes and scraped the skin right off their chests, backs, and arms.
They shrieked in agony. "Are you crazy?! You are hitting your own parents! Stop!" "Stop right now! Do you hear me?!" They yelled all they wanted.
But all three of them scrambled back. None of them dared to step near Chloe again. Chapter 3 They did not dare step into the space between the front door and the stairs.
They huddled in the corner. Their eyes were wide with terror. They watched Chloe climb the stairs over and over again. Every single jump was accompanied by Mrs.
Prescott's hysterical sobbing. And this was only jump number twentyfive. By jump fiftyfive, the sun had set. Chloe hit peak glitch speed. Her movements were a blur. Mrs.
Prescott had no tears left. Pure, paralyzing terror took over. Who wouldn't be terrified? Chloe had planned the first jump perfectly. She wanted to fake some injuries.
A few scratches for a sympathy play. But a secondstory drop fifty times in a row? The exact same wounds torn open fifty times? Chloe's white dress was shredded.
She was covered in thick, dark blood. Her broken body was held together purely by the system. She crawled out of the pitchblack doorway making disjointed, clicking noises.
From a distance, she looked like a charred spider monkey. Up close, she was The Grudge in real life. Anyone would be shivering. "Mom! Dad! Do something!
She is going to break her body!" Carter was the only one still screaming for his precious sister. He was practically blind. Chloe had shattered his glasses earlier.
He couldn't actually see the twisted monstrosity crawling on the floor. Mrs. Prescott's voice was completely gone. She slumped heavily against Mr. Prescott's shoulder. Mr.
Prescott dropped to his knees on the floor, clutching a cross and praying. Businessmen always turn to a higher power when things go south. Jump ninety. Dawn broke.
Carter knelt beside a long, thick trail of blackened blood. Chloe dragged it behind her with every crawl. He looked completely catatonic. The Prescotts huddled together.
Cold sweat drenched their clothes. They were too traumatized to make a single sound. Jump one hundred. The systemsummoned ambulance finally arrived.
Paramedics dug Chloe's mangled, barely breathing body out of the crater in the flowerbed. "Family members! We need family to ride along!" a paramedic yelled outside.
Carter scrambled forward on his hands and knees. "Me! I will go with her!" I took my time walking down from the second floor.
I pasted a perfectly shaken, traumatized look on my face. I reached out to help the Prescotts up. "Mom, Dad. Please get up. Chloe's condition is terrifying.
Are you really going to let Carter go alone with her?" That snapped them out of their trance. An adopted daughter was just a daughter. Their son was their absolute priority.
The two old hypocrites scrambled to their feet. Their legs shook violently. "Let's go! We have to go with him!" Yeah. Go. The real show was just starting.
I wouldn't miss it for the world. Chloe really was the wicked female lead. She actually survived. The power of her plot armor was impressive. She was hard to kill.
Even so, she had multiple fractured bones and massive contusions. She wouldn't be walking for at least three to five months. "It hurts! What happened?!
Why can't I move?!" "My face… my face hurts so much! Ahhh!" "Mom! Carter! Why aren't you helping me?!" Chloe had never suffered a real scratch her entire life.
Chapter 4 She had absolutely zero memory of the glitch. She shrieked and wailed nonstop. The Prescott trio hesitated, taking halfsteps forward before physically recoiling.
They clearly could not shake the lingering trauma of the charred spider monkey. Especially Carter. In the ambulance, he had rushed in to hover over her face, calling her name.
Instead, he was met with a massive, bloodsoaked face and two bulging, bloodshot eyes rolling back in her head. He nearly passed out on the spot.
I was the only one who held my ground. I walked up to the hospital bed.
I gently patted the thick gauze wrapped around Chloe's shoulder. "Chloe, it is okay," I said. "You have to stay strong.
If you break down now, what will you do later?" I finally understood why killers loved returning to the scene of their crimes.
Looking at Chloe now, she was practically my own creation. The uglier she got, the more I loved it. She did not even bother keeping up her innocent victim act.
She screamed right in my face. "Natalie! Why are you still here?! It was you!" "You did this to me! Mom! Dad!" "It is Natalie! She made me jump! Punish her!
Hurry up!" My voice was deadpan. "It is only right that you blame me, Chloe. It is my fault. I did not stop you.
Mom and Dad tried to grab you, but…" A flash of raw terror crossed the Prescotts' faces. They subconsciously rubbed their own bandaged wounds.
The phantom pain made them physically recoil from Chloe. Chloe had no idea. All she cared about was that her parents did not catch her. Her hands trembled over her scratched cheeks.
Terrified that her face was ruined forever, she snapped. "Why didn't you stop me?! If you had just caught me, I wouldn't be like this!" That was exactly what I was waiting for.
Me: [System. Make her say that a hundred times.] "We tried to stop you! But we couldn't hold you!" Mr. Prescott frowned bitterly. "You were too strong!" Mrs.
Prescott nodded frantically. "Yes! You even dragged me down…" She lifted her arm to show Chloe the bandages. "Look.
My skin was scraped right off." Normally, Chloe would apologize immediately. She would put on a show of blowing on the wound to make it better.
But right now, her eyes bulged with pure fury. Her voice was shrill and accusing. "Why didn't you stop me?! If you had just caught me, I wouldn't be like this!" The Prescotts froze.
They stared at Chloe in disbelief. "Chloe…?" Mrs. Prescott's voice trembled. Chloe did not blink. "Why didn't you stop me?! If you had just caught me, I wouldn't be like this!" Mr.
Prescott's face darkened. "Is that how you speak to us?!" "I just told you, we couldn't stop you! If you keep blaming us, I am going to get angry!" "Why didn't you stop me?!
If you had just caught me, I wouldn't be like this!" Chapter 5 "What is wrong with you? Do you not understand English?!" … "Why didn't you stop me?!
If you had just caught me, I wouldn't be like this!" "Say that one more time!" "Why didn't you stop me?! If you had just caught me, I wouldn't be like this!" "Shut up!" Mr.
Prescott snapped. He pointed a shaking finger at Chloe, his chest heaving. "Where are your manners?!
If you keep acting like this, you can stay here by yourself." "We will not come to see you again!" His eyes were bloodshot. Chloe did not even blink.
She just kept repeating that exact same sentence. Her voice got louder. Shriller. Mrs. Prescott clutched her chest.
She started crying again. "Chloe, how can you blame me?" "Do I not want the best for you? I had no choice.
Why can't you understand how hard this is for us?" Only Carter was still making excuses for her. "Mom, Dad, she is just in too much pain." "A shock like this is too much for a young girl!
She is only acting like this because it hurts." "We just need to let her rest and heal. Do not blame her!" I immediately chimed in. "Exactly.
Carter is right." "But… why does Chloe keep repeating the exact same sentence? Do you think when she fell…" I subtly tapped my temple. "Natalie!
What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" Carter roared. "Are you calling Chloe crazy?!" "Stop trying to turn them against her!
We still do not even know why she jumped in the first place." "You bully her all the time. You probably pushed her to it!" Carter was such a hypocrite.
No matter what happened to Chloe, he automatically pinned the blame on me. I ignored him completely. I looked straight at Mr. and Mrs. Prescott. "Mom, Dad, let's just call a doctor.
It won't hurt to have them check on her." That got their attention. Their gazes shifted back to Chloe. Their eyes narrowed, calculating and suspicious.
For a wealthy heiress, physical injuries could heal. But a broken brain? That was a massive liability. If she was crazy, her value as an asset to the family plummeted.
Before they could even press the call button, the door swung open. A nurse marched in. She did not look happy. "Why is the patient screaming?
Why aren't you family members doing anything to calm her down?" she snapped. "Even in a private VIP suite, there are other patients trying to rest.
Have some decency!" The Prescotts prided themselves on their highsociety manners. They were VIPs here at the CedarsSinai VIP Wing. Being scolded by a random nurse made Mr.
Prescott's face turn a blotchy red. His pride was stung. "How am I supposed to calm her down? She woke up like this!" Mr.
Prescott's voice was icecold. "I haven't even complained about your hospital's incompetence yet, and you are giving me attitude?" "What is your employee number?
I am reporting you to the board." The nurse did not back down. Instead, she frowned.
Her eyes locked onto Chloe, who was still shrieking the exact same sentence on a relentless, earpiercing loop. The nurse watched her for a long, uncomfortable minute.
Then, she called for the doctor. Congratulations, Chloe. A direct transfer to the fifthfloor psych ward. Chapter 6
